Comment Policy

At Routed Magazine, we are interested in contributing to current conversations on migration and (im)mobility. Therefore, it is important for us that any reader can publish their comments and reflections and engage with others.

This comment policy outlines the key rules and indications to keep a civil, constructive discussion. Our intervention as moderators will be exceptional and limited. If you have additional questions or require more information about our comment policy, do not hesitate to contact us through email at routedmagazine@gmail.com. We welcome any feedback you would like to share with us.

1. Basic civility is the bare minimum.

In order for discussions to thrive, we ask users to direct their criticism towards ideas, not people. We encourage you to avoid name-calling or ad-hominem attacks targeting writers or other users. Comments found to be hateful, inflammatory or harassing may be removed.

2. This is not an advertising space.

The comment space serves the purpose of hosting a conversation related to an article. This means that no commercial content of any kind will be allowed.

3. Help us keep a constructive environment.

It may be possible that a problematic comment escapes the moderators' attention. If you see an issue, we would like to ask you to flag it for review or contact us.

4. Some more good practice for users.

- Stay on topic.

- Strive to add value to every discussion you participate in.

- Avoid cross-posting your comment and repeating what others have already said.

- Give credit when it is due.

5. Consent

By using our website, you hereby consent to our comment policy and agree to abide by it.
